This original work by Chris Solcz titled “Layers of Time” is a representation of different periods of my art practice. This piece is composed of individually cut strips of old and experimental paintings and materials from my studio, each from a different period reflecting a different stylistic approach. The strips are then mounted to a wooden canvas panel and shadow effects added to tie in and highlight different elements throughout. This painting comes framed in a custom hand built wooden frame.
